Standards - Misshapen facets
The proportion of the facet is crucial to the path of the light through the diamond. Badly proportioned facets distort the light and reduce the beauty.
We reject diamonds of 0.25ct and above with significantly misshapen facets.
We categorically reject diamonds with the following:
- Excessive Fluorescence
- Extreme Thickness or wavy girdle
- Extra facets
- Misshapen facets
- Culet or table off-centre.
